Our 12-week intern program starts in May, and our 6-month co-op program starts in January or July.

Partner with the best

As a Co-op - Platform Software Engineer, you will develop platform services on top of our compute infrastructure. This includes building and deploying systems and software which will allow Linode operations to scale. By the end of this Co-op experience you should have some understanding of developing back-end infrastructure services at a larger company. Additionally, you should have gained some familiarity with orchestration, reliability, and industry best practices when it comes to these types of applications.

As a Co-op Platform Software Engineer, you will:

• Prototype and build secure, scalable, elastic, manageable and reliable solutions using CNCF components and the Go programming language
• Build and deploy highly available APIs using Python
• Create a platform service that supports our internal systems.
• Participate in the SDLC from requirements through deployment

Do what you love

Key Qualifications:

• Have some relevant coursework and be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Show familiarity with Python
• Have knowledge of a systems programming language such as C++, Go or Rust
• Understand SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Have a basic understanding of Linux, Bash, and network concepts (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS, etc.)
